I miss the days when we can surf the net without worrying about any security threats infecting our computer. Nowadays, we can never be safe surfing the net without any security software installed. I found a website which states that Malicious software (Malware for short) has risen to a new high. As of Feb. 2008 5.5 million samples are found online - BBC News | Technology | Malicious programs hit new high.
That is a lot of malware, how can we survive the net without any defence against this? Ok, given you have installed security softwares, how can you be sure that these softwares can protect your pc? Which security software is the best in protecting you? And believe me, there are alot of security softwares out there. You can't install all of them, that would be nuts; conflicts would be rampant in your system.
All we can do is install an antivirus software, antispyware, and a firewall (basic protection); or install an internet security software. And pray that none of those 5.5 million won't infect and infest our systems.
We can't avoid them all. We are bound to be infected with one of these malware if we're not careful.
